Game of Thrones

When I first heard about this series, I was too busy concentrating on finishing my Spartacus:Vengeance marathon. Also, since the main actors are mostly those that I care very little about, it almost made me ignore this altogether. But one day, I've decided to give this one a try after I read so many reviews about how wonderful this show is. And I actually glad I did.

Game of Thrones is well, almost a lot like Spartacus, only it is set in a fantasy medieval time. The show is based on the novel of the same name. It tells the story of murder, deceit, betrayal, well like I said, almost the same like Spartacus.

But to me, it is somewhat milder and less aggressive than Spartacus, where in Spartacus we can see betrayal and deceit in almost every episodes. This series tells the story in many different angles and characters, such as the character of Lord Eddard Stark, played by Lord of the Rings' alum Sean Bean (he played Boromir), the ruler of a kingdom that goes by the name Winterfell and how he manages his kingdom and his family at the same time. I will not go deeper into the storyline as I do not wish to reveal any plots to those who haven't watched it yet. I am normally only attracted to series that are mainly in the science fiction area, but after watching this and Spartacus, I'd say give them a try. If you like Spartacus, chances are you may like Game of Thrones.

The main theme sound track has been composed wonderfully. I can listen to it on and on again but the headphone has been squeezing my ears the whole day and I need to take them off a bit.
